One day after grooming my Samoyed for a dog show I said, "I want a small, short-haired dog!" After extensive research I decided that a Beagle was the perfect choice. Little did I know just how "perfect" that choice would be.

After years of owning a few very special pets, we took the plunge and acquired our first show beagle: Maggie. She was from a breeding done at Mountain Brook Kennels by Sheri Berndt-Smith, Pat and Duck Marlow, and Al Philips.

Another perfect choice, as Pat and Duck have not only become teachers, but Very Special Friends!

On my first visit to their home to see Maggie, Duck graciously gave me a tour of the kennel and introduced me to their many Champions. I was impressed, to say the least. It was obvious that these people were very dedicated and all of their dogs were very special to them. It was clear that this was not a success story that happened overnight. It had taken many years of hard work and long hours to get to where they are today.

I might add that this first visit was when I fell in love with their very special, multiple group-placing Ch. EZ Chase Bo.

We continue to work very closely with Pat and Duck and cannot imagine it any other way!
